Soufli is a small town at the north easternmost corner of Greece, just a mile away from the aquatic border of the river Evros, with no more than 8,000 inhabitants.

It is also the only place in Europe that produces original, high quality silk, guided by a centuries-old tradition. It is this type of heritage that young Greek business people seek to promote abroad.

The luxury brand Zeus and Dione is a collection of handmade, high quality products based on refined craftsmanship. The silk used for the brand’s products comes from the town of Soufli. M-y scarves, sarong-wraps and pashminas are another example of Soufli craftsmanship. "I was searching a way to enter the fashion business using a Greek trademark.

Once I was given a silk scarf from Soufli as a gift, I realised that this was the trademark I was searching for," says Maria Yeroula, owner of MY, now active in New York and Chicago.
