Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos had yesterday a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Kamel Amr, following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Palestinians in Gaza.
Avramopoulos welcomed Egypt’s diplomatic efforts that resulted in an agreement which provides an opportunity for the region to return to peace. The two ministers also discussed broader developments in the Middle East and the situation in Syria.
