Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is due to meet with European Central Bank President Mario Draghi, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, and the head of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde in Brussels today, in a bid to overcome lingering obstacles. A meeting of Eurozone finance ministers will take place in the afternoon that will try to end the logjam in debt negotiations.

A deal between the Greek government and the creditors appears to be imminent with all sides working on the final but crucial wording of the agreement. According to Finance Ministry sources, Greek government officials provided representatives of the institutions with further technical details on the proposals submitted by the Greek side.

Euclid Tsakalotos, Greece's main negotiator in the debt talks, told Greek state broadcaster ERT yesterday (June 23), that the two sides were closer to a deal and that he expected any accord to include "at least a partial solution" on the issue of the country's huge debt burden. "Right now there is a discussion among the technical teams…It is obvious that they will raise objections on some points but we are moving forward on these elements, we are closer than ever. We have one criterion in these negotiations; that the solution be viable," he added.
