With 42 thematic units and 126 films from all over the world, Asty cinema in downtown Athens is celebrating cinema, hosting the Tainiorama 2012 Film Festival, set to run for 42 days, from May 17 to June 27.

With three screenings taking place daily on one ticket at € 6, Tainiorama is dedicated exclusively to art-house cinema and this year will be featuring legendary films such as Orson Welles’s Falstaff, Lars von Trier’s Europa, Mario Monicelli’s I soliti ignoti (Big Deal on Madonna Street), Guillermo del Toro’s The Devil’s Backbone and David Lynch’s Lost Highway.
