The second issue of "Agora" newsletter published by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies at the Simon Fraser University is out. "Agora" is a bi-annual newsletter aimed to serve as a forum of ideas for students, faculty and community at large who share an interest in Hellenism.The current issue includes an obituary for professor Harry Psomiades (1928-2010) written by the Centre’s director Professor Andre Gerolymatos, a feature article based on the experience of students travelling to Greece, in the context of the "Dig Greece" semester project, student news and news from China.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia was established in September 2011. The Centre is committed to the study and teaching of Greek history, language and culture, aiming at making Hellenic Studies accessible to university students and the global community alike.
