Do you still miss your grandmother telling all those stories about past times? Oral history is considered to be the latest trend in historical documentation in an effort to preserve the memories of people who survived a certain era.

These memories touch on topics neglected by the so-called official history, hence their importance  in a digitized world.

The need of those memories to be accessed by all has become imperative and that is why Memoro-the Bank of Memories is dedicated to the collection of the experience and life stories of people born before 1950.

Memoro is a non profit project which collects and hosts videos and audio clips. It was first founded in Italy in 2007 but other countries started participating from around the world.

In Greece, the Memoro project was launched in 2011 and the history lover can dig up videos about a wide range of topics, such as every day life during Nazi occupation and immigration in the 1950’s.
