Socialist International (SI) President George Papandreou addressed yesterday in New York a SI Commission on Global Financial Issues, held at the United Nations headquarters. 

While in New York, Papandreou also met with former US President Bill Clinton for talks on the Greek and global economic crisis, as well as the current developments in Greece and the Eurozone. 

They further discussed the situation in the wider Mediterranean region and Clinton's initiative on climate change. Today, Papandreou is the guest speaker at a World Economic Roundtable series event, the hosted by the New America Foundation incooperation with the World Policy Institute.
