The Russian Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) has announced a campaign titled "Support Greece!". Their aim is reaching Russian citizens and convincing them to buy Greek products like olive oil, olives and wine, in an effort to support the country financially. The campaign begins on March 23, in celebration of the 191st anniversary of the Greek War of Independence.

A number of exhibitions, presentations and tastings throughout the year have also been planned. A joint press conference was held in Moscow, on March 20 by Rossotrudnichestvo Deputy Chief, Georgy Muradov, the president of the Federation of Greek Communities in Russia (AGOOR) and Coordinator of SAE (Council of Hellenes Abroad region of the former Soviet Union), Ivan Savvidi and Honoured Artist of Russia Ksenia Georgiadi.
