Greece was named a non-permanent, rotating member of the executive board of the International Energy Forum for the 2012-2014 period.

The International Energy Forum (IEF), the world’s largest gathering of Energy Ministers, covers all six continents and accounts for around 90% of global supply and demand for oil and gas, comprising not only consuming but also producing countries. The IEF facilitates global energy dialogue and promotes awareness of common energy interests in order to ensure global energy security.
