Giorgos and Thomas Douzis, 25 and 28 respectively, are two brothers from Thessaloniki who set up a business in 2008 -a time when the outlook for business activity and the economy in general did not seem very positive, in Greece and almost worldwide.

Their company, ERGON, involves repackaging and distributing selected Greek quality products.

It started out as a small-range activity and has since evolved into a thriving enterprise: their products are sold at 700 spots throughout Greece, and they also export goods to France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Luxembourg, Serbia, Cyprus and the UK -in fact, they are due to open a deli/tavern in Notting Hill, London, in spring. They already run a retail shop in Thessaloniki and a grocery shop/tavern in Sani, a coast town in Halkidiki. Recently, the two young entrepreneurs and their success story made it to the Guardian, as a remarkable example of a Greece that is "young, energetic, wired and brimming with ideas."

As they put it, success is "an attitude question" and has to do with the eagerness to "get up and do something."
