Santorini has topped the best holiday destinations list for decades, boasting a surreal landscape that can impress even the most jaded travellers.

Now, the island has another reason to be proud of: Atlantis Bookshop was voted as one of the best bookshops around the world!

Perched on a whitewashed cliff, Atlantis is the materialization of a brilliant idea belonging to foreign graduates who have become locals by choice. A true heaven for English-speaking bookworms, Atlantis offers a wide variety of literature, poetry and philosophy. The sun lit bookshop also hosts jazz nights and other cultural happenings in a beautiful terrace overlooking the Caldera.

Paravion Press publishing house (par avion means air mail in French) is their latest project, the idea being to be able to print their favourite books in mail - friendly dimensions.

Each title is postcard-sized and at the beginning of each is a page "for your correspondence."
