The Saronic island of Aegina celebrates its famous fistiki (Greek for "pistachio") for a second year in a row.
The 2nd Fistiki Fest will take place from September 16 to 19 on the island, but pre-festival events are already under way, including concerts, art exhibitions and performances.
A famous gourmet treat, but also a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) product since 1996, theAegina pistachio is renowned both for its taste and nutritional value.
