Following efforts of the Greek Kosovo Force, the Cathedral of St. Uros in Urosevac, Kosovo, reopened and a divine liturgy was held.

The Cathedral suffered severe damages during the violent events of March 2004 and had since then remained in a state of dilapidation.

The Greek initiative to restore the Cathedral won the support of local authorities, such as the Mayor, the Imam and the Catholic bishop, as well as that of EULEX and OSCE.
