This year’s Best actress Award in the Venice Film Festival went to Ariane Labed for her performance in Athina-Rachel Tsangaris’ film Attenberg.
The 26-year-old actress was born in Athens to French parents and Attenberg was her cinema debut.
Tsangaris’ work includes the video projections for the New Acropolis Museum Opening Ceremony.
