The AegeanDocs International Documentary Film Festival 2015 is here again for the third consecutive year, with screenings taking place in 18 cinemas in Lesvos and other islands of the Northern Aegean. The event, commencing on September 28, and running through October 4, includes 70 films from 22 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, as well as films created by young people from Lesvos in the course of the AegeanDocs workshops.
Screenings will be enriched with tributes to outstanding directors, to the Sheffield Doc/Fest and to the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut.

Moreover, HD live streaming of audience conversations with directors will be broadcast from the Festival’s central venue in Mytilene (Lesvos) to venues on other islands. The year’s festival also includes events in Athens, in the form of an AegeanDocs week, with the screening of 12 films in two centrally located cinemas (Alkyonis and Studio). The Festival, in collaboration with the University of the Aegean, is rich in educational content, and welcomes pupils, university students, teachers and professors.
