In 2015, Germans are expected to excel in terms of tourist arrivals. Just one step behind the Britons who garnered 17% of all traffic to Greece in 2014, German tourists occupy second place with 15% of all people travelling to the country on vacation.

German tour operator TUI has announced that this year it intends to raise its capacity for Greek destinations by 10%, including offers for Austrian tourists coming to Greece. "Spanish Ibiza, Turkish Bodrum and Greek Chania, Crete are among our most popular tourist packages," TUI agents conclude. The latest data for 2014 shows a 22% increase in overall passenger traffic from Germany towards Greece’s regional airports, a figure which is expected to rise even further in the current year.
