The Minister of Finances Yanis Varoufakis announced that he will submit six reform proposals to the Eurogroup on Monday (9.03). According to government sources, the six reforms aim to tackle humanitarian crisis and overhaul public administration; they further envisage a new scheme to settle overdue debts to the state, changes to tax collection, the creation of a fiscal council and the setting up of a new body for targeted tax inspections. The measures are due to be put forward at the Euro Working Group on Wednesday or Thursday. However, the government has already tabled the first bill on tackling the humanitarian crisis; it foresees households in "extreme poverty" receiving free electricity for a year. The total cost of these measures is estimated at €200 million.
