Mediterranean diet may be the buzzword of our times when it comes to healthy and tasty food, but that does not mean we can all prepare Mediterranean meals. In order to find some delicious ideas, we can turn to Diane Kochilas’s cookbook 'Ikaria' which was recently nominated for the prestigious "Books for a Better Life" 2015 Award (created by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society). Two years ago, Chef Kochilas participated in the Harvard University’s Dining Services project, where she was asked to provide students with healthy Greek options for their dining menus.

Cooking to Share by Chef Alexandra Stratou is another example of exploring Greek families’ kitchen secrets. "It is not a cookbook concerned only with food but rather with the act of cooking for and with others. It is about communion."
