In a statement, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras expressed "deep sorrow and disgust" for the bloody terrorist attack in Paris. "We, the Greeks, express our solidarity with the families of the innocent victims and participate in the mourning of our friends, the French people."
Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos in his statement said: “We express our outrage at and unequivocal condemnation of the monstrous and barbaric, deadly terrorist attack on the offices of the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris. Our deepest condolences to the victims' loved ones, to the French people and to the French authorities. We assure the French government that Greece remains at its side as a firm ally of those who fight for freedom and against terrorism."
