- Tsarouhis @ The Benaki Museum
The exhibition Yiannis Tsarouhis: Study on 17 subjects, is on display at the Benaki Museum from December 7 until March 31, 2013. One of the most prominent Greek painters, Tsarouhis, belonged to a circle of intellectuals called the Thirties Generation, who tried to combine modernism with tradition.
For the first time his work is presented through studies, variations and unpublished photos, that highlight the creative path the artist followed to touch on the important themes running in his oeuvre.

- Akram Khan @ The Onassis Cultural Centre
Akram Khan, one of the most talented British dancers of Bangladeshi descent, presents his work DESH at the Onassis Cultural Centre, till December 10.
In DESH, Khan undertakes a fairytale journey in search of his identity and his ancestral home. It is the first solo the artist has ever attempted, as he is alone on stage for 80 minutes.

- Greek Jazz Panorama @ The Onassis Cultural Centre
The second Greek Jazz Panorama takes place at the Onassis Cultural Centre from December 7 to 9. The event aims at promoting the many fascinating ensembles that explore the jazz idiom in Greece and provides an opportunity for Greek musicians to converse with outstanding jazz soloists from Northern Europe and Scandinavia.
On December 7, Andreas Polyzogopoulos’ Quartet play with saxophonist Tore Brunborg. On the following day, Human Touch engage with guitarist Teemu Viinikainen, and on the final evening, George Kontrafouris’ Baby Trio join with saxophonist Mikko Innanen.
- Dr. Vodkatini @ The Half Note Jazz Club
One of the leading soul -jazz- funk Greek bands, the ten-member Dr. Vodkatini play at Half Note jazz club on December 11.
Dr. Vodkatini, a large Athens-based group, was formed in the late 90s. Their sound is a cocktail (Vodka+Martini=Vodkatini!) of soul, acid jazz, disco, latin, lounge, easy listening, funk and hip-hop. They promise a rousing funky -soul party with covers and originals, plus the presentation of their new song Cry!.
