An exhibition of photographs depicting Thessaloniki’s history from its accession to the Greek state to the Interwar period is on show at the city’s Museum of Photography.

The exhibition, titled Beyond History: Thessaloniki through Photography, aims to capture the atmosphere of an era, through street photography, photojournalism of the time, studio pictures, postcards, and multimedia content.

This is the first part of Glances at The City, a series of photo exhibitions organized by the Museum showcasing the city’s history, with the latter two parts covering the city’s history until today, coming up in March and May, 2013.
