It was launched almost two and a half years ago, to help Athens residents and visitors alike, to find exactly what they’ re looking for and not just what’s out there.Via AthensBook one can find information about museums and archaeological sites.
The user can also check out local cinema screenings or theatre listings sorted by distance. Moreover, there is one-tap access to information about traffic, public transport, public services and hospitals.
An updated version of the application has recently been launched, connecting the user with dozens of facilities and services of interest and, following the trend of user-generated content, allowing for comments, ratings and suggestions. The app is available on iOS and Android platforms, as well as Windows 8 for tablets and more traditional PCs.
