What is the best thing to do when you miss your mom’s cooking or you just don’t have the time or the talent to cook?

 Click onto your favourite dish and order it online at Cookisto.com, a site where people can find great food prepared by local cooks.

The idea of Cookisto belongs to 25-year old Michalis Gontas and his team who created an online cooking community .

Their aim was to bring together regular home cooks willing to cook up a few extra portions and share them with people who truly appreciate homemade food but haven’t got the time, the energy or the skills to prepare it themselves.
 
The project allows home cooks to earn some extra income and/or get recognition for their cooking talent, while those ordering benefit from low prices and avoid the extra calories of pre-cooked food.


Cookisto was launched in July and has already drawn over 300 cooks and 2,290 customers in downtown Athens, while it also plans to expand further to other Greek cities or other Mediterranean countries in the future.
