In celebration of his 101st birthday, Google Doodle honours today the iconic Greek poet and Nobel Prize winner Odysseas Elytis. The Doodle features all major elements in Elytis’ work, such as an olive tree, a sea boat, a bunch of grapes and of course a sketch of the poet himself with his characteristic captain’s hat.
