At a ceremony organized by the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Club, in Athens, on November 22, the 2012 annual Kouros Awards for Entrepreneurship were presented to entrepreneurs who have excelled in innovation, development, extroversion, social contribution and smart business ideas.

The Development and Innovation Award went to Apostolos Kakkos, of Lambda Helix, a company that has also won the Best Workplace in Greece 2012 award. The award for Performance in the International Economic Arena went to Nikos Bakatselos of Pyramis Metallurgy S.A.

The Social Contribution award went to the Hellenic Business Administration Association (EEDE), the Stelios Haji-Ioannou Award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year to Revekka Pitsika of the Athens-based "People for Business," while the Green Dreams-Green Entrepreneurship award went jointly to Drs. Vassilios Theoharakis and Ioannis Arabatzis of the nanotechnology firm Nanophos S.A.
