The Vagelis Stefanopoulos trio is performing at the Theocharakis Foundation amphitheatrer on October 19 presenting their recent CD Sailing on a Marsipus.
Their unique European jazz sound will be matched on stage by Carlos Menendez from Cuba -performing Latin Jazz- and Adedeji Adetayo from Nigeria, who combines jazz with traditional West African music forms.
- Twice a Stranger
Marking the 90th anniversary of the destruction of Smyrna, the Athens Concert Hall in collaboration with the Anemon Productions hosts the performance Twice A Stranger on October 21. The event celebrates the rich culture of Asia Minor, the Black Sea region, Cappadocia, eastern Thrace etc, through music, dance & fairy tales.

- Israeli Cinema Festival
The Israeli cinema is no longer unknown in Greece and the Israeli Cinema Week in Athens hosted at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation proves just that. Seven Israeli films tell seven stories about a modern and dynamic society, too often in the limelight, for reasons other than culture.

Passion, betrayal, unconditional love are the hallmarks of Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, Greek National Opera’s newest production. Sopranos Lana Kos from Croatia and Rachele Stanisci from Italy star in the title role.
Tenor Dimitris Paksoglou stars as Manon’s true love. Greek baritone Dionyssis Sourbis is in the role of Lescaut. Performance dates: 21/10-18/11.
