A Symposium on Sustainable Tourism, which aims at sharing best practices and innovative ideas for the sustainable development of protected areas in the Mediterranean, is taking place on October 22, at the University of Athens building.


It is being held as part of the 2BParks project, a European programme aiming at the creative, sustainable management of protected areas, by combining economic needs with environmental protection.The symposium is hosted by the University of Athens - Faculty of Geology and Geoenvironment, which will subsequently host the 2Bparks Transnational Camp on October 23-24.


The camp explores the subject of environmental protection and management, aiming at the interregional and cross-border exchange of views and experiences by young researchers and experts, as well as improving their skills and competences in the field.
