Casa Brutale of Open Platform for Architecture-a conceptual fantasy vacation house embedded into a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea-has gained international attention and media coverage

According to its two architects-Laertis Vassiliou and Pantelis Kampouropoulos, based on the island of Rhodes and in the Netherlands-Casa Brutale is "a geometrical translation of the landscape[…]It is a complete study of aesthetics, structure, function and engineering, which awaits solely its realization".

The daring design may communicate "strength, functionality and frank expression of materials". that are characteristic of Brutalist architecture, but despite its simple and cold materials, Casa Brutale "channels the rhythm and beauty of its surrounding nature in a way capable of stimulating the senses".

Currently just a concept, Vassiliou says that OPA would love to build the house, which is why they are actively looking for someone to sponsor or buy the project. Though their ideal spot is on a Greek island, Vassiliou insists that they are "open to other interesting locations worldwide".
