The “Interdisciplinary Centre for
Aristotle Studies,” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki will hold the “Aristotle 2400 Years” World Congress next spring (May 23-28, 2016).
It will take place at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in ancient Stageira,
the birthplace of
Aristotle, and in ancient
Mieza,
where Aristotle taught the young Alexander the Great.
The aim of the Congress is to advance scholarship on all aspects of Aristotle’s work,
especially interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches, as well
as approaches investigating
its relevance today.
The Congress will be the highlight of all events organized
in 2016 worldwide for the celebration of the “Aristotle Anniversary Year”. Aristotle scholars from around the world are participating as
speakers and as members of the Honorary and the Scientific
Committee, whilst
an impressive number of papers has already been submitted from all over the
world.
The deadlines for Abstract Submission and Paper submission expire on October 15, 2015 and January 31, 2016 respectively.
