On the occasion of Catholic and Protestant Easter (April 5), Trivago conducted a poll concerning favourite tourist destinations around Europe. In relation to Greece, Athens and Chania in Crete top travellers’s list, and more specifically, the Germans opt for Athens and Thessaloniki, the Danes head to Crete, the Spaniards will go to Mykonos, the Italians prefer a stroll around Athens before heading to Kos and the Swedes will travel to Rhodes.

Moreover, the students of the Athens Vocational School for Tourism asked foreign tourists in Athens for their opinion on Greek gastronomy; almost all who responded (93%) said they tried Greek food during their stay, and almost half of them (47%) enjoyed a meal in a Greek restaurant or taverna.
