Every year, the community receives approximately 300,000 guests and pilgrims, who need to be guided through the community’s twenty monasteries and facilities.
The idea for an application came from the owner of an IT company in Thessaloniki and frequent guest of Mt. Athos. He contacted the community and the monks agreed to contribute to this free of charge initiative which aims to enlighten the public on matters of religious nature. The application is expected to be soon available in Slavic languages as well.
