After intensive negotiations in Brussels last week, the Eurogroup agreed last Friday (20.02) to give Greece a four-month extension on its loan programme, if it presents a list of reforms; if this list of proposals is agreed to, it will lead to a grace period for Greece until the end of April, the deadline for finalizing its proposals.
After yesterday’s drafting and redrafting, following several hours of discussions with officials in Brussels aimed at hammering out a set of measures acceptable to both sides, the Athens government has sent a final list of measures to its creditors. According to the Commission, this reform plan is "sufficiently comprehensive to be a valid starting point for a successful conclusion of the review."
