For the third successive year, Onassis Cultural Centre will be hosting the Musical Village international artistic community on January 23 and 24. This year, small instrumental ensembles and solo praxis will be in the spotlight, playing music covering the whole range from Early Music to the European avant-garde. There will also be a screening of a documentary about Music Village 2014 in Pelion. Among the participating musicians are Switzerland’s UMS ’n JIP, cellist, Demos Goudaroulis, New Zealand saxophonist Hayden Chisholm, a duo of jazz pianist Giorgos Kontrafouris with Kostas Anastasiadis on drums, singer-songwriter Maria Thoidou with Kostas Raptis, the guitarist Kostas Makrygiannakis and many more.

- Tribute to the First Greek Dadaist @ Beton
A tribute to Thanos Murray, the first Greek Dadaist, will be held at Beton 7 Center for the Arts, in Gazi, Athens until February 7. During the event, many parallel events will take place such as exhibitions, discussions, lectures, film screenings and photos, audio installations, as well as performances. The tribute is curated by poet and artist Demosthenes Agrafiotis. Thanos Murray – Velloudio was born in Athens in 1895 and was a poet and aviator, who took part in the Greco-Turkish war of 1922, before embracing the Dadaist movement. He has worked with Greek lyric poet and playwright, Angelos Sikelianos in the Delphic Festivals in 1930s.

- Coetáni Flamenco Festival @Athens
Coetáni, the first Experimental Flamenco Festival will be held at the Playground for the Arts, Athens from January 28 until February 1. Although flamenco as an art was born within Spanish tradition, it remains a field of experimentation and evolution. These new aspects of expression are the main focus of Coetáni Festival, where coetáni means “modern” in Catalan. The Festival includes performances, screenings, discussions and seminars; it also presents the work of internationally acclaimed artists.
- Athens Video Dance Project
The 5th Athens Video Dance Project will be held at the Athens School of Fine Arts on January 23-25. The project, which aspires to present local dance on a global scale, features short video dance works, dance films and documentaries, dance photo projections, and multidisciplinary performances. Filmmakers, choreographers, visual artists, dancers, musicians, photographers and set designers from 30 different countries from all over the world will be participating.
