Jim 'DK' Kirsanidis [video] is world champion in free running. He participated in the 2014 Red Bull Art of Motion in Santorini (October), a competition which begun in 2007 and welcomes the world’s top free runners in an epic course setting. 

Nineteen year old Kirsanidis is the first Greek to become world champion in parkour, a fascinating new type of sport which wins ground every day. "I have been practicing free running since I was 7 years old. I have practiced other sports as well but the minute I discovered free running, I became sure that this was the one," says Kirsanidis who admits that "listening to the crowd cheering DK, was the happiest moment of my life." Whether it is something kids should try at home, Kirsanidis says “anything can become dangerous if we do not pay attention.  Thank God, I haven’t fractured anything yet!
