Pop art artist Kostas Spyropoulos was chosen by the Greek Culture Ministry to exhibit his work before the byzantine artifacts of the Patras Archaeological Museum.
The exhibition will run until September 14 and is named "From Local to Global". America and…the Greek souvlaki come face to face with a touch of expressionism and surrealism. The artist reflects on matters such as social conformity, artificial needs and urbanism.
Kostas Spyropoulos was born in Patras in 1952. He took lessons in painting at the John HerOn Art Institute in Indianapolis, USA and undertook liberal studies at most European museums. His works can be found, among private collections and foreign museums, at the Greek National Art Gallery.
