  • Music Tales @ Onassis Cultural Centre
Three music tales for narrator and string orchestra will be staged at the Onassis Cultural Centre, on March 23. Young people aged 10-14 are invited to take part in a story writing competition. Three of their entries will be chosen to be transformed by composers into musical tales for orchestra and narrator. The experience will encourage a spirit of participation as well as stimulating creativity among people of different ages and backgrounds. With Athens Camerata Orchestra; Miltos Logiadis is conducting.
  • World Puppetry Day @ MCF
On the occasion of the World Puppetry Day, the Greek Centre of the International Puppetry Association (UNIMA – HELLAS) Puppetry and Therapy will hold a meeting on , at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, on March 21. The event aims to bring in contact the puppetry artists and the specialised therapists who use puppets for therapy, in an attempt to trace out its value, as therapeutic means and initiate a discussion between the two fields. Apart from the presentations, three relative workshops will take place.

  • Touliatos and Moumtzidou @ Thessaloniki Concert Hall
The internationally acclaimed jazz and improvisation percussionist Nick Touliatos, who in 2004 organised the opening and closing ceremonies of the Athens Olympics , with team of 400 volunteer drummers will present, along with great Greek singer Natassa Mare Moumtzidou, a unique program of free improvisation and dialogues between percussion and voice; Duo, a magical journey to free sound from only two performers, will be staged at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, on March 21.

  • Kisses to the Children @ MCF
On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, (March 21) the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation will hold screenings of the multi-awarded documentary film Kisses to the Children, written and directed by Vassilis Loules, from March 22-23. Five Jewish children saved by Christians in German-occupied Greece, lived childhood as their Garden of Eden, even though they spent it in hiding. There will be English subtitles
  • Horror Film Festival @ Thessaloniki
The first International Horror Films Festival Fright Nights, comes to give ... horror nights of our time a fun and enjoyable dimension. After screenings in Athens the Horrorant Film Festival will be transferred in Thessaloniki, from March 20 March to 26 March. There will be three screenings daily and each will show a short film before the main film. The program consists entirely of new productions, all at first Greek view.
