King's College in London is hosting a debate today on the relevance of ancient Greek drama in the modern world titled "War...Love...Politics: Does Greek Drama Matter Now?" the president of the university, Sir Richard Trainor, will introduce four of the most renowened British scholars and writers who have dealt with classical studies and ancient drama: Edith Hall, Rosie Wyles and writers Tom Holland and Natalie Haynes.

It is worth noting that the King's College annually hosts a performance of an ancient Greek play, a tradition that celebrates its 60th birthday this year. Moreover, the British broadcaster BBC 4 will show three episodes of the series "The Greatest Show on Earth," beginning today, a documentary series about ancient Greek drama.

These events are presented under the auspices of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in cooperation with the Embassy of Greece and the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, UK.
