Internationally acclaimed Greek director Michael Marmarinos stages the archetypal myth of European modernist thought, the myth of the man who sold his soul to the Devil. Faust by Goethe will be staged at the Onassis Cultural Centre from January 15. The innovative Greek director negotiates the labyrinth of Goethe’s Faust and the descent into the darkest recesses of human Desire. The text is translated by the writer Petros Markakis.

Lamia Bedioui narrates love stories from the Arab world that celebrate passion, the pleasure of the senses and desire through the poetic hue of Arab poetry of 13th-16th century. Bedioui narrates in Greek and sings in Arabic; Loukia Konstandatou accompanies the Arabic songs with the qanun. The event will be held at the Benaki Museum, Kerameikos Building Complex, on January 10.

- Do it Eco@ Technopolis Gazi
The Do it Eco Project, a series of ecological activities, culminating in the Eco Fashion Show, will be held at Technopolis, Gazi, on January 14. Athens is the 7th city worldwide organizing such an event. Distinguished fashion designers from Greece and abroad will expose their eco outfits on the catwalk! The idea behind this is to engage one of the most vibrant and creative industries in a sustainable mentality, and to show that ecological fashion is 100% wearable. The project also includes a green seminars and informing business executives about applicable eco-friendly practices easy to adopt and transfer into business.
