Reactivate Athens / 101 Ideas is a research and design initiative directed by Urban Think Tank Athens in collaboration with the Onassis Foundation that aspires to generate 101 ground-breaking ideas for the centre of Athens by tackling the destructive forces of gentrification and eviction.

The initiative will be implemented in line with the Rethink Athens programme and runs from September 2013 until March 2014.

The results will feature in a comprehensive design exhibition in Athens next spring, and in a book expected to be published in 2014. The project will also produce a parallel collaborative publication titled Atlas: the Social Geography of Athens, edited by Professor Thomas Maloutas of Harokopeion University. This volume will bring together the work of various researchers focusing on the social geography of Athens over the last 20 years and beyond.
