The first Business to Business (B2B) Travel Trade Athens is going to be held on April 22-23 at the Acropolis Museum. The annual workshop is the outcome of a cooperation agreement between the Athens Development & Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) and the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA).Approximately 200 businesses and suppliers from all sectors of the tourism industry are to participate in a round of 32 preset B2B appointments to present their services and products and discuss ways of cooperation with potential buyers.
The programme aims at showcasing and promoting the tourism product of Metropolitan Athens and acquainting buyers with the city's tourism infrastructure and major points of interest. The event will include meetings, fam trips and site visits so that potential buyers are presented with the Unique Selling Points of metropolitan Athens.
Athens Mayor Yiorgos Kaminis stressed that, "the City of Athens is implementing a comprehensive strategy for economic and tourism development, with a focus on placing Athens in the international limelight and enhancing the image of the city as an ideal tourist and convention destination". Deadline for registration is March 11, 2013.
