- Portico Quartet @ Onassis Cultural Centre
Portico Quartet, one of the most prominent contemporary ensemble, play at the Onassis Cultural Centre, on March 14.The group was formed in London, in 2005 and their first release, Knee Deep in the North Sea, on vinyl, was declared best jazz album of the year by London’s Time Out magazine.
Their distinctive sound is due to the use of the Hang, a 21st century percussion instrument, and a cross between jazz and modern classical music.
Atmospherically northern European with minimalist touches, their music features a powerful narrative thrust, avant-garde experimentation and funky impressionism.
- Organ Recital @ Megaron
The pianist/organist Ourania Gassiou, will perform an organ recital tonight, at the Athens Concert Hall, with works by G. Böhm and J.S. Bach.Gassiou has been awarded Third Prize in the International Organ Competition of St. Maurice, First Prize in the Mediterranean Piano Competition of Andros and Second Prize in the Panhellenic Piano Competition of the Friends of Jose Carreras Society.

- ANAMESA Festival @ Michael Cacoyannis Foundation
Anamesa (Between us) is an Art Festival where young talented European artists, with or without disabilities, amateurs and professionals share the same vision of coexistence: “When only Art comes between us.”
The festival, which takes place at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation till March 16, aims at eliminating prejudice and discrimination arising from disability or from living in depressed and crisis-hit areas, through a series of dance and theatrical performances and art exhibitions.The theme of the Festival is the artist Dali, who was obsessed with bodies decaying as time passes.

- Golfo @ National Theatre (Rex)
Golfo, an iconic pastoral drama of Greece's modern theatrical tradition is being revived by the National Theatre (Rex Theatre), till April 28.
Linked with the historical tradition of travelling theatre troupes, and despite its unusual language and localized character Spyridon Peresiadis’s play is technically as proficient as more eminent dramas, with romantic rivalries, moral dilemmas and heartrending choices.Nikos Karathanos and his cast and crew approach Golfo with sensitivity and reveal it to be a genuine theatrical gem.
