The Greek Embassy in Washington DC participated last month in a Digital Diplomacy Open House event, where the Greek Press Office presented its social media strategy. The event was organized by the Digital Diplomacy Coalition (DDC) - a network of social media users in the diplomatic community - in the course of Social Media Week held in Washington DC from February 18 to 22.
During the event, the Press Office presented its social media activity [VIDEO], as well as its very successful initiative Ask The Ambassador, which ran through Facebook and Twitter from February 14 to 18, urging people to send questions to Greece’s Ambassador to the USA, Christos Panagopoulos, concerning Greece, international relations, culture and tourism.
The event was attended by nine EU embassies, the United Arab Emirates, the US Department of State, as well as several diplomatic communications officers and journalists. Keep up the good work!
