Who would have thought that Greece could have an extra terrestrial fan? No worries, don’t call the X-files, we are talking about Chris Hadfield, a Canadian Space Agency astronaut, launched aboard the International Space Station, who has been tweeting impressive aerial photos from Greece.
On January 14, he tweeted "Geia sas Ellada" and posted a photo of Crete along with the palace of Knossos.
He then uploaded an aerial view of the meandering route between Sparta and Kalamata "a pretty wild drive with a beautiful view on all sides" and then Rhodes so that people "can see where the Colossus of Rhodes stood 2300 years ago." His aerial tour finishes off with the Corinthian Golf - "amazing how clearly the bridge stands out against the blue" -and of course, Athens- "the cradle of so much of civilization and learned thought." Thank you Chris!
