The Foreign ministry issued on February 12 an announcement categorically condemning the nuclear test carried out in North Korea, and noting that it was a flagrant violation of international legality and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, that seriously disrupts the security and stability of the Korean peninsula. "Together with our partners," the announcement further states, "we will take all necessary measures for the defence of the international regime of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and the imposing of the necessary sanctions."
