Greece and Germany continue their cooperation in the sectors of administration and business and strengthen their ties.

Deputy Foreign Minister Constantine Tsiaras, during his visit to North Rhine-Westphalia state, met with state officials, the Greek Church, the German-Greek Chamber and Deutsche Welle. He also briefed members of the Greek community on the initiative to create a new Council of Hellenes Abroad.

Tsiaras stated that it has now been internationally acknowledged that Greece is making substantial efforts, to reform, minimize the fiscal deficit and return to growth and is paying a heavy social toll.

Greek Minister of Interior Evripidis Stylianidis and Jörg-Uwe Hahn, Minister of Justice for Integration and Europe of the German state of Hesse, announced cooperation between Greece and Hesse, in vocational training.
Stylianides pointed out that a foundation will be set up with participants from the tourism and trade sectors. This will allow 400 young people to be trained annually in 10 professions, such as cooks, hotel officials, confectioners, salesmen and other.
