A group of Athens University students has launched a project which having initially won a students’ entrepreneurship award, is now gradually becoming a successful internet platform.

GloVo is a global platform, where people from all over the world can sign up as volunteers for all kinds of events, according to their location, interests and abilities.

The name stands for Global Volunteers and their aim is to provide information about great events across the globe, bringing together event organizers and prospective volunteers.

The project won the second award at the Athens Startup Weekend University, held on September 28-30, 2012.
