In an announcement issued on January 22, the Foreign ministry offered condolences to the governments of the countries whose workers lost their lives in the recent tragic events, in the Algerian In Amenas gas facility, expressing Greece's solidarity and support for the people and government of Algeria, who have suffered so much from extremism.

On January 24-25, Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas will be in Santiago, Chile, to participate in the EU-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) Summit. On the meeting’s sidelines, Kourkoulas will meet with his counterparts from Chile and other Latin American countries. He will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Greek community and with Greek entrepreneurs active in the region.
