Oscar-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis -recently nominated for the fifth time for an Academy award, for his performance in Lincoln- is visiting Athens for a charity premiere of the film.
On January 22, the actor paid a visit to the Acropolis Museum, accompanied by Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and members of his family and was given a guided tour of the museum, by archaeologist Iris Plaitaki.
The actor stayed for an hour and showed great interest in the Archaic sculptures gallery, the Caryatids and the Parthenon sculptures on the top floor.
