An antiracist rally was held in central Athens, as well as in several other Greek cities, on January 19. Thousands of people, including immigrants living in Greece, gathered at Omonia square and marched to Syntagma square, where a concert against  racism was held.

The "Athens-Antifascist City" protest march coincided with a recent murder of a young immigrant in Athens’ Petralona district.

The rally was organised by various anti-racist groups, the municipality of Athens, trade-unions, immigrants’ communities, and political youth organisations.
