The first World Canyoning Tournament is taking place in Orlias Canyon on Olympus Mountain. Approximately 600 athletes from across the globe are expected to take part in the event.

The schedule includes a Prologue Race, which will be held in an artificial track in Litochoro, and a Main Race, featuring the ascent and descent of Orlias Canyon. The tournament will run from June 7 to 10, and will feature an Interactive Park throughout the event, with photo exhibitions, concerts and parties.

The tournament is organized by Athens-based Adventure X Crossroads company that specializes in extreme sports in both Greece and the UK. The company’s next big project is a Rock Climbing in Meteora tournament.
